Shoe Ministry

Purpose: To give a good start for the beginning of school to needy children by giving them a brand new pair of shoes and socks.

Details: We contact the intended recipient to find out the size of shoe needed. We buy the shoes and socks, and deliver them in person. They seem to like the socks as much or more than the shoes! In the past, we have received referrals from the schools and the Health Department. This past year, most of the referrals were from the Celebrate Jesus mission. We gave away a total of 30 pairs of shoes and socks last summer. There are a lot of things to buy at the beginning of the school year. This is one thing we can do that helps out a lot.

To Help: Donate money and designate it for the Shoe Ministry. Our funds are low at present. We want to buy shoes and socks for next school year and help out our community.
