Purpose: Provides handmade quilts (also called prayer blankets) to honor someone or bring someone comfort.  Quilts are made and provided for our church family, nursing homes, local fire and police departments for traumatized children, military men and women of our church family, loved ones in the hospital and those with special needs.

Details: We meet the first Wednesday of the month in Quilting Room at 9:00 am to assemble quilts and have fun! We make quilts in two sizes – lap quilts for adults, and quilts for infants. The quilts come with a beautiful poem and are made with much love and prayer. The infant quilts have a small stuffed animal attached. Some of the people we have blessed with quilts are those who are sick, people who just had a baby, and people who enlisted in the military. We recently gave a quilt to each of the residents of the Women’s Center. We have also given quilts to the police department to use to comfort traumatized children. If you know someone that could benefit from receiving a quilt, contact Glenda Waring.

To Help: You can help by donating your time and/or goods. If you want to help make quilts, come on it. You do not need any experience. You can also donate cotton material and cotton thread.

We Would Love to Have You Visit Soon!
