Missions

FUMC sponsors and participates in many local and international Christian missions, such as the following:

Trinity Sunday School Class  - Dinner at Halfway Houses

Purpose: To show God’s love to the men housed in the halfway houses.

Details: This is a ministry of the Trinity Sunday School class. We provide dinner for the residents of two men’s halfway houses, one on Main St. and one on South St., on the second Thursday of each month. The Halfway Houses provide temporary housing to men who are looking for work and a more permanent shelter. Each house can accommodate up to 12 men each. We also give the men Christmas presents each year, consisting of a warm sweatshirt and a pair of socks.

To Help: Provide food or monetary donations.

Medical Missions
Because of the generosity of this congregation, Barbara Borman, RN had the ability to serve God's people overseas where even clean water is an issue. This ministry took her to Ecuador, Haiti, and Kenya.  It also took her down the Amazon River aboard the John Wesley Medical Boat.
