Charlotte's Web
All children entering 1st grade through age 16-years old are welcome and encouraged to audition for this timeless and well-loved classic play, Charlotte's Web based on the book by E.B. White and adapted into a stage production by Joseph Robinette.
Determined to save Wilbur the pig, Charlotte the spider begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your children a great summer experience and opportunity to make friendships and bonds while also learning how lessons from the story translate into lessons from the bible. Performance dates are Saturday, July 30th @ 6pm and Sunday, July 31st at 3pm. Rehearsals will begin on July 11th and run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6pm-8pm. There will also be a week-long summer theater camp from July 25th—July 29th from 9am-2pm for all children who have been cast in the show and for those who would like to participate in other ways (i.e., bit parts, sets, props, and costuming). |
